MULTIPLE CHAMPIONSHIP WINNING ‘A’CIRCUIT MARE Canadian Spice is a Hannovarian cross mare by the International grand prix winning stallion Elute. Elute was a member of the Canadian show jumping team at the Atlanta Olympics and is himself by Eiger I,the Hannovarian stallion of the year in Germany in 1999. Canadian Spice had a fabulous show record. She has won multiple jumping championships in the 4’ division at A circuit shows including Thunderbird, Twin Oaks and Milner Downs with a Junior and then Adult Amateur rider. Over a 3 year period of time she never competed at one of these shows without coming home either champion or reserve in her divison. Her rider was leading amateur rider for the whole show at her last competition at Twin Oaks. With her rider off at university she switched to broodmare duties and has had 3 lovely foals, with a 4th foal due in May 2008. (in foal to Raffaello, see www.synergysporthorses.net)
Canadian Spice is now for sale. She retired sound and never had any lameness problems during her show career. She may be purchased to continue as a broodmare, or she could likely return to a show career in the 3’ to 3’6” divisions. She has an excellent temperament and would very much suit a young rider wanting to begin competitive show jumping.
