In 1988, Damiro was Champion of his performance test with five 9s and two 8.5s. Damiro jumps very carefully and skillfully with a good lift-off, a sound technique and an excellent eye for a stride. He took first place in the A category jumping of the 1989/90 National Stallion Competition. In 1992, Damiro made his international Grand Prix debut. Damiro has especially good foals. They are noted as being well-developed, with excellent legs with solid joints. They show outstanding movement, particularly a superior trot. Damiro has several approved sons, including Hilton and Le Byou. In 1998, Damiro was listed as one of the top 200 sporthorse sires in the world.
